Small storage.
Clear choices.

01 / Essential session cookie

PHPSESSID · First party · session cookie

Associates your browser with a server session for form-security tokens, temporary form confirmations and language state. In administration it also maintains sign-in. It is not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.

Lifetime: no persistent browser expiry is set; normally removed when the browser session ends, although session-restore settings may retain it. Server session cleanup follows the hosting configuration. Blocking it can prevent forms and admin sign-in from working.

02 / Your motion preference

strix-quiet-motion · localStorage

Written only when you use the Motion on/off control. It contains “on” or “off”, with no visitor identifier, and remembers your choice on later visits. It stays in this browser until you clear it or clear the site’s data. Your device’s reduced-motion setting still takes priority.

03 / Optional YouTube videos

The Load video from YouTube button makes an external connection only after you activate it. The embed uses youtube-nocookie.com, but this does not mean the connection is anonymous: YouTube receives your IP address and browser/request details and may use storage when you interact with its player. Google may process data outside the EEA under its own policies.

You can leave videos unloaded or use the Unload video control to remove the player. Removing it stops that embed’s connection; it cannot erase information already received by Google. Manage any Google storage through your browser settings. Google privacy policy ↗
